Be Kind. You never know if the smile is fake.
One of the things that I’ve dealt with my entire life is depression. I often times used comedy to trick people into thinking I was fine. The truth was, I wasn’t fine. I was far from fine. I was a self injurer and was very suicidal at one time. But I plastered on that fake smile, until it was too painful to even do that.
I’ve learned because of my own experiences that you should always be kind to people. Because you never know who’s suffering. Be it from mental illness, chronic physical pain, or what have you. You just never know. And you don’t want to be the person that pushes them over the edge.
With this being the day that President Trump goes into office, and him being a big Twitter Gangster we all need to understand, and to know to the bottom of our hearts and souls, to be kind. To love one another, and to be in service of our fellow man.
Be the change you want to see in your schools, your neighborhood, your towns. Be kind, and never back down from something you know is right.
God Bless America.
